Dr Rodrigo Teixeira, MD, FRACS is a Plastic Surgeon in Melbourne. He has a keen interest in Cosmetic Surgery, Rhinoplasty and Facial Surgery. Dr Teixeira is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). Internationally, he is a member of the American and the International Societies.
Dr Rodrigo’s philosophy is of respect for your identity, your background and your history. His experience in craniofacial surgery and cleft surgery is very useful when performing cosmetic facial surgery and rhinoplasty. Dr Teixeira is based in Melbourne and is an associate of the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, conveniently located at the Victoria Gardens, in Richmond. The pursuit of beauty should not follow social media trends or be influenced by propaganda. I know it is cliché, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My approach is of respect for your identity and I try to see it through your eyes to understand your concerns, but I rely on my experienced eyes to see you as whole, identify your unique features to unveil your beauty.
I believe in having a repertoire of treatments and procedures that can be carefully selected to address an specific concern. They are powerful tools when combined with a meticulous approach and attention to detail.

Professional Training
Dr Rodrigo finished specialist training in Brazil in 2006 and went abroad in 2007 for three years of fellowship training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial and Cleft Surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
On completion of his fellowship training, Dr Rodrigo obtained specialist registration in Australia after successfuly completing the international medical graduate process, including the final examination. During the process he received further training in Plastic Surgery, including Faciomaxillary Surgery and Burns at the Alfred Hospital. He is a qualified Specialist Plastic Surgeon fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Dr Rodrigo Teixeira is the head of the Plastic Surgery unit at the Northern Hospital (TNH) and is a consultant plastic surgeon at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne (RCH). Also, he is honorary senior lecturer of the University of Melbourne.
In private practice, Dr Teixeira is a member of the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgeons (MIPS) in Richmond and he operates in reputable and accredited facilities in Melbourne.
Dr Rodrigo Teixeira also works in public hospitals and enjoys reconstructive surgery. As a plastic surgeon, he finds facial reconstruction quite rewarding and looking after children with cleft lip and palate always puts a smile on his face.
He believes that aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery are inseparable. Therefore, experience in Craniofacial and Cleft Surgery are assets when performing Aesthetic Surgery.
